In this blog post we will post a new Electric Vehicle (EV), selected randomly, every week. The idea is to create a list of the EVs that are available for consumers in the worldwide market. We will pick them for their popularity, their price, features, because they make the news, or just by their looks. If there is a category you would like us to publish here, talk to us and we’ll put it to consideration.
The Popular Ones
Here we will list the most sold electric vehicles in the market, some of the features they come with, price and availability.
Tesla Model 3
The Tesla Model 3 is coming on 2024 with new looks. Here are some of the specs that call our attention as well as its price. The Tesla Model 3 has been sitting in first place as the most sold EV in Canada for a few years for now. Delivery times, warranty, looks, are some of the reasons why people prefer this ride. And, if you live in the provinces of Quebec, New Brunswick, or Nova Scotia, you can get up to 10,000 dollars off the MSRP of this car, so, why not?

The Ones that Call our Attention
If an EV calls our attention for whatever reason, it’s looks, technology, range, features, design, it will be here. No matter from what part of the world it comes from or if it is available for purchase in North America or not. The idea is to show how technology can rapidly evolve now that electric cars will start to be upgraded as fast as cellphones.
BYD Seal
This electric BYD is one that we would like to see available in the North American market. It officially launched in Europe and Australia. We picked this EV because is the one that dares to threatens our guy at the top of the popularity list. BYD is looking to beat Tesla in their game and wants to demonstrate that they can manufacture affordable EVs that do not ask for favors from their competitor. Apple vs. Samsung once again? Only time will tell. Check out this interesting comparison video.

Hummer EV
We never thought that we would be writing about a Hummer in this blog, but here we are. The most interesting thing about this electric powered tractor is that it has the ability to “crab walk”. With the simplicity of electric drivetrains, engineers have more room to innovate. One example is that this Hummer EV can steer it’s back tires adding more freedom to the movements of this car. It is certainly nice to have this feature when you have to parallel park such a big car. Watch the crab walk here! What other innovations do you think are coming to electric vehicles?

The Ones we Wonder Why they Exist
Here we will list the ones that are probably not the nicest, not popular, or that do not have features that we consider useful.
Mazda MX-30 Electric
While there exists a range of amazing EVs as shown earlier, there’s always a black sheep in the group. The Mazda MX-30 boasts some appealing features but falls short in several aspects as an electric vehicle (EV). Its relatively limited range, typically around 100-130 miles per charge, is notably lower than many other EVs. This range constraint can be restrictive for those seeking longer commutes or road trips, limiting its practicality for various drivers. Additionally, its small battery capacity of 30.0-kWh might not meet the expectations of consumers accustomed to the higher ranges offered by some competing electric vehicles. These factors collectively position the MX-30 as less competitive in the EV market, especially when considering the evolving landscape of electric vehicles with improved range, charging capabilities and more.
