Earlier this year we started a collaboration with ELMEC, EVduty’s electric vehicle charger manufacturer. ELMEC sells over 1,000 charging stations per month in Canada and all over the world. ELMEC recently increased the size of their manufacturing capacity and expanded to a 30,000 sq.ft. facility located in Trois-Rivières, Quebec.
JPlug.io’s mission is to make electric vehicle charging in condominiums as easy as it is to get internet service. This means to also provide our clients with the flexibility to choose the hardware they prefer to use to charge their cars at home, as well as access to the functionalities that they come with.
EVduty is a state-of-the-art level 2 charging station that has a great implementation of the OCPP protocol. Also, it allows control of smart features of the charging station such as scheduling charges, sharing your charging station, meter the amount of electricity consumed by the vehicle, and more. It was a natural choice for JPlug.io to work with EVduty as one of the first Canadian designed and manufactured, high quality, smart EV charging station in the market.
To learn more about why selecting EV charging stations compliant with OCPP is so important for condominium buildings check our blog.
Innovation in Smart Mobility and Autonomous Vehicles
JPlug.io is disrupting how electric vehicle charging takes place in cities and their residential buildings. Basically, you should be able to charge at home, it shouldn’t be more difficult to charge if you live in a detached house or a condominium. And, you should have access to a charging station everywhere you go. This is the only way we will move to a more sustainable mobility. Our innovative technology reduces the amount infrastructure needed to install EV charging stations and takes advantage of existing infrastructure as much as possible.
ELMEC is also at the forefront of innovation in electric autonomous vehicles by bringing them to work on agricultural fields. Under the brand Erion (https://erionag.com/), they have developed an electric and autonomous agricultural tractor that can work day and night planting seeds, weeding crops or harvesting fields. The best of all, it recharges itself in the field in its own docking trailer powered by 20x Chevrolet Bolt batteries.
